Hello there! I’m Mez, Author & Adventurer.
Each time I write a story, it takes me on an adventure. My quest as a writer is to collect all the best bits of my adventures to share with you! My books cook up a blend of magic, mystery and history. It is my hope that you, dear Reader, will dive into these stories to discover an adventure of your very own.
Here’s a bit more about my own adventures…
I grew up in Georgia (the State in America, not the country) the youngest of 4 kids. My older sisters, brother & I – along with our neighbourhood friends – spent all of our spare time blazing trails through the woods, building forts & imagining ourselves into all sorts of wild situations.
The other thing I did lots of as a kid was READ! My parents read us bedtime stories: From Winnie-the-Pooh to Chronicles of Narnia, stories created colour & sparked imagination into my childhood world.
And that didn’t stop as I got older! I remember in my school days discovering Lord of the Rings, Jane Austen, the Bröntes… whole worlds waited to be explored between the covers of books! That’s when I started dreaming of writing my own stories. I also started dreaming about living in England one day, because that’s where all my favourite authors came from.
And guess what? My dreams came true! I moved to England in my university days, &, after a bit of studying & working as a children’s worker for a church, I finally began putting all my scribbles & ideas into books!
Every time I write a story, it takes me to a new place… maybe even another time in history or another world! The truth is, writers are explorers who bring back the best bits of their adventures to share with the world in Stories. My hope is that when you open one of my books, you will find yourself in an adventure of your own that will open your eyes to new & wonderful things. And who knows? Maybe you’ll even be inspired to write your own!
